HUNTING OF PETROLEUM EMPLOYEES IS BEING CONTINUED CHAIRMEN IS SILENT

Comrade K.M. Manoj Wijeyaweera delegate of Petroleum corporation common employees union at Kolonnawa office has been assaulted and grievously injured yesterday (8) at his duty area. President of the freedom employees union at Kolonnawa terminal, Chethiya and his squires have joined directly to this thug attack.


Because of the continued thug threatening occurred after the presidential election, Manoj has reported to duty yesterday (8) and he has been threatened not to report to the duty at the moment he entered the institution. It is reported that this assault has been done later once Manoj has reported to the duty ignoring the threatening.
Assaulted Manoj Wijayaweera has made the complaint about this attack to the chairmen at his official room at the very moment. Chethiya and his thud fellows who have come at that moment have tried to attack again in the presence of the chairmen. However already grievously injured Manoj has been referred to the National hospital for the treatment with the intervention of employees. Though a complaint has been made to the police, still chairmen is silence guarding thugs who are in connection with this attack.
